My husband needed a better job, so he moved into web
marketing.
My husband works for a web marketing agency. Previously he
worked at two different design agencies, and he dealt in the
area of brochure design. He is a talented graphic artist, and he
really thrived in that line of work. He built such a reputation
that he was able to get a really good starting position in his
new job with the web marketing agency.
The design agencies paid pretty well, but the web marketing
agency is really paying top dollar. When they saw samples of his
work in brochure design, they knew he would be perfect to handle
their web graphics design needs. He took the job without
hesitation, because he had been asking for a raise from the
other company for years.
Now that he has a job with the web marketing agency, I expect my
husband to rise in the ranks pretty quickly. When he was working
in brochure design with the design agencies, he was always going
to be stuck at the same level, but he has a real chance for
growth with this job. On the whole, I would say that our future
is looking very bright, and we’ve already got plans for what
we’ll do with the extra money.
Overall I think my husband made a good decision when he chose to
focus in the field of advertising in school. It’s kept him in a
good job, and there seems to be a lot of room to move into
better areas.
